Jack may be best known for miniaturizing halogen accent and recessed lighting and offering it as a lighting platform that went far beyond retail display lighting. Jack embraced energy saving technologies well before world events necessitated them and spawned the well-worn industry catch phrase 'energy saving.' His industry prescience put him ahead of the field in introducing architects and lighting designers to concepts such as recessed multiple source lighting, architectural hospitality, high-end residential, commercial and task lighting — ideas that had as much to do with architectural design as they did with function. It is these synergies that inspired iconic lighting designers to contribute to "Let There Be Light," Zukerman's treatise on the lighting industry.
